Meet the new Mrs. P!

The trip was fantastic and I wish we had more free time (and money) so we could have stayed longer, but work and school calls. Big bummer to start classes again, but we are two classes away from being half way done!

Anywho, about the trip. We had the most amazing time and the island was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better day for the wedding either. The daily rain shower held off long enough for us to have a our beach wedding and to take a few pictures. The reception was at our villa. We had time for a first dance, dance with dad, toasts, and cutting the cake before it started to rain. It was perfect with being at our villa. Not only did we have the best view on the resort, we had plenty of space for everyone to relax and celebrate out of the rain, and for the saxophonist and all her gear. We will have all the pictures up soon.

The resort was amazing and I don't think I will ever be able to travel again, unless it is to the Million Dollar Suites. They are spectacular and come with two butlers that filled our every need. I can't tell you how strange or awesome it was to have someone who would do anything and everything for you. They unpacked/packed our bags, randomly brought us snacks, 24 hour room service, champagne and mai-tais all the time, drove us to where ever we needed to go,.....you name it and they did it. The villa was amazing. They were band new and we were only the second couple to stay there. We had a two room villa with two plasma TVs, a dvd player, private pool and jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor showers, fully stocked wet bar, very nice king sized bed, Bose ipod/cd player/radio/alarm, and a really large tub. I think we could have just stayed in our room the whole time and would have been happy.

The resort include scuba diving which was a blast! I'm very happy I got certified so we could do it. We went on 3 day dives and 1 night dive. It was my first time scuba diving in the ocean and I was very nervous to say the least. I was so sure that I was just going to crash on the bottom and destroy a reef. I think I only bumped things twice total for all 4 trips! The day dives were great. We saw 3 sea turtles, which are just beautiful and amazing. The night dive was the best of all 4 trips. I still laugh every time I think about the lobsters we saw. There were all sorts of eels, shrimp, lobster, squid, sea spiders, and many more fish. There were also small specs in the water that were attracted to the light. Tyler and I were chased by a little worm looking thing. It is no more than an inch long, but it moved quick and could hit you with a good sting. The only thing I regret is not purchasing an underwater camera. It would have been awesome to get pictures of some of the stuff we saw.

The food was good. I wouldn't say it was anything spectacular, but it was good and anything we wanted was included so that was nice. I think the best thing on the resort was the ribeye at the French restaurant. Very tasty. We also really liked their pizza and lagasana. The desserts were great. I don't think they ever served the same thing two nights in a row. Breakfast was as you would expect anywhere. The vanilla and banana pancakes were fantastic. Anything banana on the island was fantastic.

I wish I had more time to write every detail, but I have to go to the dentist (yuck!) and I have a lot to get done around the house before Byron comes back on Friday. I really miss that little guy!
