It has been quite a while since I have posted on here. We have had a pretty crazy year that I will try to update when I have a bit of time. Now that I have completed my MBA!!!!!
I have been at work for 9 hours and counting and it has been an interesting day. Surprisingly, work has not contributed to the interesting factor one bit.
I'm getting excited for the end of the year, although I don't really know why. Maybe it’s knowing that we are closely approaching the 2 week holiday shutdown or that I will be half way complete with my MBA. (I can't wait to have 2 whole weeks to relax with no worries.
Ok, so my last post was in frustration of the amount of time it takes to get through the Quarter decisions for my marketing simulation. I will have to say, I still think it takes too long, but I have to take it all back. Our team has been doing amazingly well and we are making money like it's nobody's business.
My class this term is Marketing. Marketing is fine, until you have a marketing simulation that requires a lot of work and a group that doesn't know how to make decisions without having the entire group there. Literally, every little detail they are wanting to determine together even though we all have roles and decisions we are responsible for.
Gotta love it. I really don't want to have anything to do with my homework tonight and the Colts/Bears game is much more interesting. I have to say, I didn't think the game would be so close. 15 to 13 Bears with 7:15 left in the 3rd quarter.
The trip was fantastic and I wish we had more free time (and money) so we could have stayed longer, but work and school calls. Big bummer to start classes again, but we are two classes away from being half way done!
So, it's official. After 6 years, Tyler and I finally set a date, August 28th! We are so very excited about this. It is going to be an amazing time. We just made our final payments on everything today. Horay! Now we just need to figure out what we will do with the chins while we are out, and everything is just about set. In just 7 weeks, I will be Mrs. Kari P!
Tyler and I got a puppy!! A little Chesapeake Bay Retriever boy named Byron Eugene :). So excited. We get to pick him up on May 4th. As soon as we get him, I will get plenty of pictures up.
